Pictures I think we will see again......

..........in 13 years when they become 21. Girls being goofy at the bar.....hummmm I don't know any time now, we always see Mike with the Captain.......in 1 day, ahhh the life of an ER doctor who tries to do it all on ZERO sleep........in, well really when ever, Reid will probably master the "man-five" this weekend.......in 19 years I hope, but my guess is that Uncle Paulo will be handing Reid a beer before he is 21........in 19 years.......all the time! Cuddling with the Grandparents, you are never to old for hugs and "bumping noggins."

My Little Water Lover

Lots of sprinkler fun has been had this summer!
Figuring out the lever that shoots the rocket up.Water is coming down so I must need an umbrella! Some of my favorites from the day.
Oh man do I love this kid.

Giddy Up!

Not an example of stellar photography. I didn't have enough light and I didn't have time to grab my flash but still cute anyway!

Boots

I was around the back of the house and when I came into the garage I found Reid trying to get his red boots on. Shorts and boots, it's a great look.

4th of July Parade

Our fireworks were canceled and rescheduled for the following weekend. We were so excited to take Reid just to see his face and hear him talk and jabber all about them. Much to our surprise he was scared of the fireworks and clutched onto Kevin and buried his head into his shoulder the entire time. Last year he loved them and oohed and ahhed over them. Oh well, I think Kevin and I were more disappointed than anything! Anyway, this started a series of events.....since he turned 2 he now refuses to sit in a high chair, most of the time refuses to wear a bib, and if we are lucky he even refuses a booster seat so he'll spend the majority of the time wondering around during meal times. Awesome. He is also terrified of the big blow up flappy guys outside of businesses, scared (a mild way of saying it) of ceiling fans, and scared of fireplaces, mainly of the reflection I think. So the child who has been completely fearless up until now is a complete scaredy cat of the most unusual things. I'm sure it will pass quickly, I hope!
A few more things that are going on in his little life.....he loves water, I think 90% of his day is spent getting wet. He even likes to go under the water and laughs and giggles. It's terrifying for me. Yesterday he fell off of a raft and I had to pull him up and he came up laughing saying, "Under Wa Wa." So he isn't scared of that, just ceiling fans. The other night we were playing and he was playing with his new work bench and Kevin was goofing around hitting the whiffle ball. He heard the crack of the bat and said, "Nice hit Daddy!" It was very cute. Everything he says now is in sentence form and he is very polite.
Here are a few pictures from the 4th of July parade. This is what Reid's fake smile looks like while saying CHEESE!

2

Our little man turned two yesterday. He turned two. One, two, one two, one two.
There is so much to say.....he has done so much in the last year that it's almost hard to believe one little life could grow and change that much. Reid is friendly, he is fierce, he is social, he is loving, and smart and simply full of life. Two wonderful years have gone by and I'd like to write as much as I did last year and at 6 months but all I can think of is how thankful I am that we have him in our lives. Like I said at one year and six months, I thank the Earth and the Universe and God everyday for Reid, for his energy, for his strength, his health and for being our little puzzle piece that fits so perfectly.
Year 3, watch out! I'm not sure what you have in store for us but I'm confident it won't be dull!
Hang on and hang on tight little guy, this wild ride is going to continue!
We love you and we hope we can keep teaching you to LOVE LIFE.
