Trip to Minnesota

Easter

Yes Easter was like a month ago. But here is an Easter rundown....

Lots going on in Reid's world. He will be going to preschool this summer and is super excited about it. He loves the warmer weather and being outside. He rhymes everything and thinks it is funny. His favorite joke is, "Why did the dinosaur take a bath?" "Because he is a stinkasaurus." He loves dinosaurs, spiderman (we are unsure how this came about), Hot Wheels (this one too), and his cousins :) He is learning that he will eventually have a brother or a sister, which I will write about later. There are some very cute stories about that situation! Well that's it for now. Little Chef

Reid loves to help in the kitchen. It has become a daily ritual. One day my mom was over and we were baking cookies, she must have heard me say, "Reid please don't wipe your hands on me," one too many times. The next morning she showed up with an apron for him and he loves it. Now if he starts to cook and he notices he doesn't have it, he hops down fast and says, "I forgot something, I forgot something!" and has to have it on. Keeps us much cleaner!

Warmth

I've got a ton of "new" pictures to post but what fun is that when I could show you some old long lost images that I never posted. They are even from last August, when the sun was shining, the grass was green and the flowers were blooming. I can almost feel the warmth, well not quite. So now in the midst of the longest winter ever I give you some funny pictures of Reid "testing out" his new shoes last summer.

Winter fun and milestones

Let's see where do I start? So much has happened in Reid's world lately.

-I'd say in the last 2-3 weeks he has gotten into imaginative play. It is so much fun. This is what I've been waiting for. I thought it would come a lot sooner then it did. We play dinosaur cave, and sea monster, we even track yetis. We build rocket ships and airplanes and fly them all over the house.This is a rocket ship, just so you know.These are yeti tracks.

-Reid is potty trained. He has been 1/2 trained for what seems like forever and fully since January but I never wanted to document it in fear that I may jinx it!
-He is starting to read words. It all started at the library when he read "Yes" and "No" on a poster as we were walking by it. Then a woman was quizzing her daughter on the letters and words and Reid kept yelling out the answers.
-We were playing with scrabble tiles the other day and he said, "Mommy, I know how to spell zoo," and he found the letters then he changed it to boo. I discovered that he can spell mom, dad, zoo, boo, and, yes, no, and stop. I'm not going to lie, it scared me a little bit.
-He officially can get out of his crib by himself. Which is has been able to do for a long time, but was never brave enough to do unless we were in the room with him.
-He has started to tell us stories. Which are mainly about dinosaurs.
-He makes art work on my computer in photo shop. I've been saving a few of them.

-He loves to play outside. His new found love...the sewer drains. It's fun to watch him drop snow and sticks down there until they hit the bottom, but not so fun that a 2 year old wants to play in the road.Oh yes we do a lot of laundry too.

More Cousins

Some pictures of 5 days, 5 children! We had a lot of fun....I must have taken more pictures with Lynn's camera than mine. These are the only ones I have. Reid had a little taste of having a lot of kids around and the Hunters had a little taste of having a little guy around their house!
