Good morning
Well I'm having some mommy guilt that I am not keeping up with the blog and I'm not taking enough pictures of Althea and not keeping track of her accomplishments and not writing down all the funny and extremely smart things Reid is doing etc.!!! I'll catch up, or not, but I'll try. I've always sort of thought of this as their baby book of sorts. A way to keep track of everything, a way to show them someday what they did and when.
Althea is doing great she is super happy, smiling and laughing all the time. She likes to suck her thumb and she still likes her nuk. We hit a rough patch a week or so ago with a lot of crying and I thought it may just be her, well something snapped and she is back to her normal chill self. When it snapped she snapped into sleeping really well too...bonus.
Reid is still loving school and made a break through at hockey when they gave him a bunch of pucks to hit and chase around. Last week he was special person at school and had to bring in clothes from when he was a baby and a poster with pictures. This week is crazy week, hat day, wacky Wednesday and bowling with his class! He loves loves loves to play games right now it's his favorite thing to do. He reads like a first or second grader and talks like a teenager, we may be in trouble! Today it is suppose to be close to 40 degrees so Reid and I are heading out to snowshoe around my parents house. Should be fun and warm! Althea will opt to stay in the house with Grandma and a hip surgery recovering Grandpa.

| These are Althea's 2 month pictures. She loves to smile and be talked to. She is a sweetie. |
All is well in our world. It has been a mild winter. Yesterday it was in the high 40s and today we had a big snowstorm of 2 inches of snow. Althea's baptism was this past weekend and Reid is battling a nasty cold etc. He is in hockey this winter so those pictures will be soon to come. We did weigh Althea on the 1st to get her weight at 2 months and it was about 10lbs. Her check up is tomorrow so I'll give the stats then. She is growing fast! Well she had a doctor's appointment at 2 months 2 weeks and she weighed in at 10 lbs 1 oz. Just a little peanut.

Can you believe she is already 1 month old? I can't.
A few things I want to always remember....
That she sounds like a goose when she is nursing,
her leg rolls, and her little sleep smiles.
I love you more than you'll ever know Althea Kate, (BG, Beege, Thea, Thea Bee-a), happy 1 month!

Welcome Althea
We welcomed Althea Kate on 11-1-11. She was 6 lbs. 15 oz. She was an easy delivery and is pretty mellow yellow all around. She came home around 6 lbs so she has been in for many weight checks and is doing well. She is beautiful, absolutely perfect and she fits perfectly into our little/big family. Reid is the best big brother ever. He loves to help and doesn't tire of changing her diaper or waiting for her to eat. When her umbilical cord stump fell off he said, "Wow Mom she is getting so grown up!" When I took her to the Dr. to get weighed I told him that she now weighed 7 lbs. His response, "I think her head won't bobble around anymore then."
I promise to be a better blogger after the holidays and after I catch up a little.
