Me and my little peanut.
Let's see, Althea is 5.5 months old. Just two weeks shy of 6 months old we decided it was time for some rice cereal for her. She is a pro. It didn't take her very long to figure out that it is fun to eat. She kicks her legs and giggles for more food! Pictures to come.
She loves to play with her toys and watch her brother. She likes me a lot too :) She is a particular little human being. She will not drink from a bottle some days but willingly does so others, she refuses to drink formula, some days she likes other people and some days she doesn't. We just don't know what we are going to get! She is super happy and smiley, a little bashful, and just plain cuddly.
Reid is doing great. He loves the human body model he received in his Easter basket. He is obsessed with a game at the library called the Amazing Human Body and knows all the answers. He makes huge proclaimations for a 3.5 year old such as, "Do you know that the kidneys clean your blood?" and he will tell complete strangers about their bladders and intestines. He loves to make lists. They can be of anything...dinosaur lists, grocery lists, animal lists, etc. He likes to write and practice his letters. He is interested in instructional tv on pbs, "My Beautiful House," mostly. It is a show where they follow children around their homes all over the world. He now wants to visit children in Indonesia and Cuba. Right now his favorite game is "Hammer," in which we all throw pillows and blankets at one another and hammer and claw each other. Doesn't that sound like fun?
Well that is a little bit of what is going on with the little humans right now!

5 MONTHS!
Where has the time gone? This little honey pie is 5 months old. She is a whopping 11 lbs. 3 oz. But she really looks like I'm starving her doesn't she? She looks perfect to us! She is mini according to the doctors, but she is thriving! We love you Thea Bee-Aaaa. You make our lives brighter.

So the whole time I was taking pictures I was attempting to get her to stop chewing on her hands, her clothes, my camera strap, the sign...well you get the point.

Super cute even though she is flashing the finger. Ha ha.

Love this little munchkin so much.

Of course it would be a photo shoot without my best-ever helper!

70s in March!!!
So I just needed to pop on and write a few very random things down.
It is March and the temps are in the 70s, yes the 70s! It is great, and I can't believe it. I hope it sticks but I'm not that naive.
All is well with us, Althea weighed in at 10 lbs. 13 oz and 24 inches long. She is on the little side according to the charts. She is thriving and doing great. She is happy, and laughs and smiles a lot. She has her moments of course :) It is very interesting to see the differences between her and Reid. She is a very cautious baby right now. She doesn't want anyone other than Kevin and I to hold her. She cries when some strangers even talk to her. She cries for my mom who sees her almost everyday. The amount of tears usually depends on if she is tired or not too. Reid was the opposite of that, he would go to anyone, and loved being around people. I hope it is a phase.
Here are a few pictures from our trip to the Kalahari. Have I mentioned that Reid does not have the ability to look and smile at the camera at the same time?!? Ha ha, something I can show him and laugh about later. We just had our little waterproof camera so the images are a little blurry, but still cute. Do you like our attempt at getting photos of all 3 grandbabies together for their grandparents? At least we tried!
