HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

HAPPY TRICK OR TREATING EVERYONE!!
Enjoy the holiday and check back for more pictures of Reid in his costume!
It seems to me that putting a baby into a Halloween costume is a little bit like torture, but it sure will be fun for a little while and for pictures!

Reid

Here is our happy baby in a couple of natural light photographs. I just love both of these expressions, not to mention this adorable outfit. Thanks for letting us borrow this cute sweater and hat Lynn! Oh those little lips, I could just squeeze him when I look at these pictures.
These were taken last Sunday a week later than the ones of him in his baptism outfit. Doesn't he look like he got so much bigger within that week? He is growing up so fast, he's been rolling over and talking a lot more!

Pumpkin Patch

We took Reid to the pumpkin patch and low and behold they were selling "Baby Bear" pumpkins! He was sound asleep at first so we just put him by the sign.

The pumpkin patch was so great! It had a fake grave yard, a straw fort, a petting zoo, face painting and it just looked like a blast for the toddlers. Reid will have so much fun next fall!

I will be putting a slide show of the images from the pumpkin patch up soon!

Halo Tribute

When we brought Reid home from the hospital we quickly realized that we needed a "Halo."
The hospital had these newborn necessities. They are sleep sacks that have wings that wrap around a baby to keep them tightly swaddled. Reid loved to be swaddled and it kept him so nice and warm. This yellow Halo was his first and then came a light blue one from Grandma and Grandpa. They quickly became his favorite comforting accessory. As you can see in the picture it was huge on him when he was born. The reason for the Halo tribute is that Reid has officially outgrown his Halo. We were still having him sleep in it at night with his arms out. His feet were outstretching it and we reluctantly decided he is officially too big for his beloved Halo. A Halo is truly a necessity for a newborn it settled him down and comforted him many times. Here's to the Halo, thank you!!! I'm not going to lie, I will shed a tear when I actually pack them away. My little angel is no longer a newborn.

Baby Blues

On a beautiful warm weekend I put Reid back into his baptism outfit to take pictures.

Oh those eyes! Where did they come from?
The natural light lit them up and they just glowed blue.

3 Months

Reid is 3 months old!
Yesterday Kevin and I had him giggling, and belly laughing. He always smiled and cooed but his new found laugh is so very cute!

By the way, if you click on the photos they will open up larger in another window.

It's once again hockey season! Here is Reid in his Shark's gear.

Good luck tonight Joe! Reid will be one of your biggest little fans!

-I will be adding Shark's articles on the left side of the blog again.

Baptism

Here are few photographs from the baptism. I will put them all in a slide show that will show up on the left side of the blog. Make sure you use the arrow keys to see all the pictures because the slide show starts with the picture that is up when you click on it so you may miss the beginning.

Thank you to everyone who came! It was wonderful to share this tradition with you all.
Reid is so very lucky to have such a kind and generous family. He is so fortunate to have both sets of grandparents and two great grandmothers to share in his life, and to love and teach him.

Thank you also to Reid's Godparents Paulo and Gwen!!

All the beautiful and generous gifts were just too much, we appreciate everyone's thoughtfulness and kindness. Thank you to everyone who traveled to be here. It was wonderful to see everyone!

(No, we didn't put him in lace, that is the white garment given to him by the church :)

I love this picture of us. Going back to my critique days......the lines of my nose and finger bring your eye to Reid. The curve of my hair mirrors the shape of his ear and I really appreciate the black shapes that are formed by my eye and lips.

This picture was taken after our busy day of baptism and all our visitors! We had almost 40 guests for brunch after his big day!

I will be putting up baptism pictures when I get them all from various people. Paulo, that means you. I always have major guilt issues after events like this when I'm involved and can't take the pictures. I really wish I would have just taken some time out to take a few pictures. I will be putting Reid back into his little outfit to take some pictures.
