Outside

Reid loves the snow. I usually get to the Y in the morning and when I attempt to get him inside when we get home it's tough. He cries, he wants to stay outside. So everyday (almost) after his nap or right before dinner we go outside. It's is awesome, I love that he loves the snow so much. Today we went to my parents and walked the trails. Reid spent a lot of his time pushing a stick in the truck of a rotted tree because my dad told him there was a squirrel in it. We went for a walk and came back and he went back to the stump to push the stick in it again. Very cute.
Anyway, here are a few pictures. While Kevin was away I built Reid a snowman. I ran quick to get my camera out of the car and found my poor snowman like this. Decapitated. Reid had his hands turned up and said, "Doooopps." So we worked on getting him put back together. Then we gave him a hug. Here are a few more pics from that day. Since then the snowman had to be rejuvenated because of the warm weather. "He" was rejuvenated into a "She" and now has a crown but is missing her nose and eyes because it's just too warm for a snowwoman to survive.

How

you ask did I finally get Reid to be happy in front of the camera smile at, or almost at the camera? His name is Tuffy and he sat and smiled for the camera! He even playing peek a boo behind the camera. and he got lots of kisses that day!So I'll finish by saying I've tried that game before and it didn't work, but it just happened to work for these pictures. He isn't exactly looking at the camera, he's looking at Tuffy but beggers can't be choosers when it comes to these things.
Here is a picture of his first boo boo. Kids heal so fast, they are both gone already. Another reason I like this photo is the tucked bottom lip. He has done that since the day he was born and I wondered if he would always do that.
Hockey game is almost on! Go Hockey Team USA!!!!!

Cute funny things

I have literally like a minute, so before I forget I wanted to write down a couple of things.
Reid, loves to cook in his tent. He hauls a few pots and pans out of the cupboard and put in letters, books whatever he can find and he stirs them up, all while saying "Cookie" He started out saying cooking, but it evolved into "Cookie? Cookie Mama?" I think I mentioned this earlier but it's still going strong.
Also, he has been adding "io" to the end of everything. Daddio, cookio, etc...hilarious.
Loves loves loves the snow. Kevin dug him a tunnel and he just went back and forth through it and almost refused to come inside yesterday. The only way I can get him inside is to tell him that no more doggies are going to walk by because they all went home and inside for the night. Seriously, it works, otherwise I have to haul in a kicking starving little boy at the end of the day!
Two straight days of accident reports at the Y. First time he tripped and fell into a chair. Big scrape on his cheek. They put a huge band-aid on it bc it was bleeding pretty good. When I went to pick him up he so wanted to tell me all about what happened but couldn't quite find the words. He loved the band-aid and wouldn't stop looking in the mirror at himself :)
Today, they don't know what happened but he was with another child and he just started crying and a huge scratch showed up on his face. Seriously I will post a picture he looks like Rocky.
Pictures to come, either tomorrow or Saturday!

After days of trying

and a couple of suckers and M&Ms later this is one of the best pictures I was able to get.
It looks like he wants to say, "Seriously Mom when are you going to give it up with the camera?"

Raising up Up UP!

My Little Goof

So, Reid has a hard time sitting in his highchair to eat. He'll eat a few bites and then he's ripping his bib off and pushing the tray saying DONE DONE DONE. But let me tell you I learned the hard way yesterday that just because he is saying DONE does not mean his little belly is full. And yesterday I found out that he gets NAUGHTY when he's hungry and then he's so hungry he won't eat. So I've resorted to feeding him on the go, especially if I have to be somewhere. Here are some BAD pictures but cute shots of my little goof and his interesting eating habits :)
Let's see what else is new with Reid....
-He has all of his teeth until the 2 yr molars. (I secretly thank God for that everyday. Boy did he have a hard time with those teeth.)
-He continues to LOVE music. So we've gain a love hate relationship with Laurie Berkner. He will watch and listen to her music over and over and over. This is great when we've got things to do around the house, it's not great when you wake up in the middle of the night with the same song running through your head over and over and over and over and over, get the picture?
-Still won't smile at the camera.
-Sleeping like a champ. (Did I really say that? I don't want to jinx that !)
-Happy happy happy. He dances around the house. He likes to "cook" in his tent with our pots and pans. Today he said "cooking mama,?" and took me into the tent. That is almost a sentence right?
-His favorite book is the Detroit Tiger baseball book, I'm not even kidding.
-The other day I went to get him out of his crib and I found him with his socks on his hands saying "Doops," (oops) that is from a book he has where an animal puts his shoes on his hands and says "Oopps."
-He loves it outside and we can't even say the word snow-pants and he's trying to get to the basement to find his.
I could go on forever but enjoy the pictures for now!
